Create extension of existing award winning reading & learning platform to be used at home by parents or for homeschooling purposes.

The Problem

The goal of the project was to make an existing reading and learning platform used in K-12 schools available and accessible to home schooled kids.

We identified a gap in the market, where children who are being home schooled could have access to the same tools and technology being used in K-12 schools.

In this day and age of accessing technology through everything from a tv to a smartphone, it encourages learning through devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones.

How can we bring this learning platform to homeschoolers and make it easily accesible on any device?

Some questions that were addressed through the process:

  • What are the important aspects of mobile navigation
  • What pain point are users hitting while learning on mobile?
  • Are there any issues that stop the user from making use of the app?
  • How can we translate the same ease of use to mobile?
  • Can we link mutliple children and their devices to one family profile?
  • Would users like to customise and personalise the app to suit their needs?
